No Kings Santa Rosa

March 28, 2026

Marchers were coming from two directions to meet in Old Courthouse Square, but we decided to come directly to the square. I wanted to hear friends in the Good Trouble Band (they were great). The Press Democrat estimated 12,000 people at the protest, our biggest by far. I took lots of pictures and here are a few.

  2. I saw the “granny for democracy” in the wheelchair; I looked for you, but there were too many people. What a great crowd! We stayed for 2 hours and got too hot and finally left. Good to be part of a wonderful demonstration. Someone had a photo of the idiot in prison garb with handcuffs between two officers. Wish it were for real! A felon belongs in jail, not out murdering innocent people!

    1. Sorry to miss you Minerva. I too thought it was a great protest. Well organized by Indivisible and coalition. I was glad there was music, and songs we could sing along to. Holly and I didnt march. We went early and then met a friend from Petaluma at LaRosa for drinks about 3pm. He had been to the Petaluma protest.
